    June 25,2010 BRIDGEPORT, Conn.—The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado touched down in Connecticut's largest city during powerful storms on Thursday.
    The tornado left a swath of destruction in Bridgeport, including collapsed buildings, blown-off roofs, shattered windows and fallen trees and power lines.

    Authorities say more than 30 people were treated at city hospitals for storm-related injuries, but nearly all the injuries were minor.
